On October 16th, Techolutioners exhibited at Google’s 2019 Cloud Summit conference in Singapore and presented our own Google Cloud services and success stories to conference attendees. Moreover, we took the summit as a great opportunity to learn as much as possible about Google’s latest product rollouts, updates and what’s on the horizon.

Aside from a very active exhibition floor, the conference also hosted several breakout sessions led by Google Cloud partners and customers in an effort to showcase how GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and other Google Cloud products have positively impacted the way businesses function, from both an operations and development standpoint. During one of these breakout sessions, we presented our own success story regarding a GKE migration we completed for a global online retailer who sought to bring a greater degree of scalability to their highly visited e-Commerce site. To learn more about this GKE migration project, download a copy of our eBook entitled: A GKE Migration: Lessons Learned from a Global Online Retailer.

Our very own Avinash Mandal, Manager, Cognitive Learning, discussing our GKE Migration success story to a room full of attendees.

In addition to breakout sessions to discuss the impact of Google Cloud solutions, Google also took the conference as a chance to educate attendees about GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine), GKE on-Prem, and the primary Google Cloud Platform. Many discussions were held around these topics by resident Google Cloud experts, but there was a specific focus and excitement around Google’s latest offering, Anthos–a game-changing PaaS product designed to help businesses manage their entire hybrid cloud environments from a single point of command while offering businesses with legacy applications the chance to modernize their applications at their own pace.

In keeping with all the excitement behind Google Anthos, we performed a pair of Google Anthos demos onstage towards the end of the breakout session we were hosting. We showed attendees how applications run within Google Anthos, how easily we can move applications from one environment to the next and how to deploy a new application using files checked into Git Repository.

All in all, the conference day was filled with fascinating product demonstrations, captivating success stories and great conversations with attendees and Google experts alike. We learned so much from the individual breakout sessions and gained an even better understanding of where the future of Google Cloud is headed. We’re eager to attend the next Google Cloud Summit event in 2020!
